I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend! It’s nice to get back to a more normal routine after a really long holiday break.
It’s been requested that I share my current food favorites more often. Today I’m going to share five foodie favorites.
{Apples} These will always be on my foodie favorites list. I like having apples as a snack with some peanut butter, with a meal, in juice or plain.
{Sunflower Seeds} Even little seeds like these are packed with great health benefits. I like eating them plain, adding them to yogurt or my oatmeal.
{Green Tea} I usually only drink tea during the winter. I’m not the biggest fan of other flavored teas right now. Green tea is my go-to drink to warm up.
{Organic Eggs} I’m becoming more and more cautious of where my food is coming from. I’m learning more about the importance of buying organic (if it’s available).
{Cottage Cheese} I like adding cottage cheese to my post workout smoothies. I buy the Andechser Natur brand whenever I can. Their products are real organic and taste great!

What are your 5 current foodie favorites? Do you choose organic over non-organic? Is it important for you to know where your food is coming from?
Apples, Quark, Cinnamon, Oatmeal and Chicken :)
ReplyDeleteIf I can choose organic over non-organic I do it, but often it's so expensive :/
but I have to say that they are taste so much better, more real ;)
Other food favourites will come and go, but apples are forever <3
ReplyDeleteMmmm... ginger tea! That sounds so good right now!
ReplyDeleteMy five favorite foods:
1. Peanut Butter
2. Soy milk
3. Cereal
4. Corn bread
5. Carrot cake
:)
These are great. I love apples and eggs, and I buy organic and especially LOCAL whenever possible. I haven't had sunflower seeds in a minute, but I'm going to buy some now. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLove your favorites! I guess my 5 favorites right now are 1) Coconut Milk 2) Apples (I like honey crisp & pink ladies) 3)Sunflower Butter 4) Eggs (I like organic better too) 5) Vegetable Soup :-)
ReplyDeletei adore cottage cheese too, it tastes so good with everything
ReplyDeleteI love apples too! Eggs, peanut butter, green veggies and sweet potato my staples!
ReplyDeleteOooh apples are a great healthy food staple. I love that you can get them all year long, they are inexpensive and there are so many different types out there! Yay for apples!
ReplyDeleteI don't buy organic eggs, but my in-laws do and whenever I eat them I really can tell a difference. I should probably buy more organic food, but it's can be difficult on a tight budget :(
My favorite foods:
ReplyDelete-nut butters
-sweet potato
-broccoli
-eggs
-avocado
I also love cottage cheese - especially in combination with fruits and cinnamon!
It's VERY important to me where my food comes from and I always choose organic when available. More money now - less money in potential medical bills in the future. :)
ReplyDeleteMy favs right now:
- avocado
- dates
- pistachio
- nut butter
- kale!
that\s interesting that green tea WHITENS your teeth .. I thought it contributed to staining?
ReplyDeleteI agree with the eggs! We have some people at church who have a few chickens and they sell the extras. But when I asked what the chickens ate they said they were feeding them cornmeal. I was so dissapointed!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I definitely choose organic when possible. And I'm all about the green tea! Can't do the flavours right now. Just green. :) Now following via GFC. Joann
