I’m sorry I haven't posted in a few days. I’ve been busy with school and on top of that, my internet hasn’t been working. I’m glad it’s finally working again because I missed blogging!
Growing up, chocolate was always my favorite sweet treat. Hard candy? No thanks, I’ll have chocolate instead. I make sure to have a bit of chocolate every day, whether it’s a few squares of dark chocolate (my favorite!), a protein brownie (or two..), chocolate covered coffee beans (delicious!).
Here are a few of my favorite healthy chocolate snacks.
Chocolate Covered Pretzels & Mixed Nuts
I love sweet and salty combo of pretzels and chocolate. But seriously, who doesn’t? And don’t even get me started on chocolate covered walnuts and almonds. Addicting I tell you!
Healthy Chocolate Chip Muffins
I always have some of these healthy chocolate chip muffins in my freezer. I just pop them in the microwave or toaster oven and they’re ready to enjoy! These muffins are also a go to breakfast of mine. I love eating them with some fruit or yogurt.
Chocolate Flavored Granola
I’m in love with Lizi’s Granola. The “Belgian Chocolate” flavor is amazing! I love sprinkling it on top of some cereal for a quick snack. Heck, I’d even eat it right out of the bag.
Chocolate Covered Protein Bars
I love having some great tasting protein bars on hand. One of my favorites are the Luna Protein bars. I also like to make my own protein bars and cover them in dark chocolate. Tastes like I’m eating a chocolate bar when I’m actually not. Sneaky, right?
Hot Chocolate
Mhmm, yes! Hot chocolate is one of my favorite drinks during the cold seasons. I prefer unsweetened cocoa powder. I love adding a few marshmallows on top. Perfection!
High Protein Brownies
I love having one (two.. three..) high protein brownies with some tea or coffee in the afternoon or as a bed time snack. Sometimes I’ll spread some peanut butter or Nutella on top. To die for!
Chocolate Spinach Smoothie
Ok, chocolate and spinach together? Really? You can’t taste the spinach, but you can taste the amazing chocolate flavor! Just try this chocolate spinach smoothie to see for yourself.

What's not to love about chocolate?! I'm a fan of things which are sugary sweet, but I wouldn't say no to chocolate. And at least dark chocolate has some health properties. Can't say that about my sugar. These pictures all look so yummy; I want to dive into each and every one.
ReplyDeleteI was the weirdest kid--I didn't like chocolate! But OH, that's changed! I'm with you, nothing beats a good square (or two...or whole bar) of good dark chocolate, no flavor or add-ins needed! But I do love to shake it up with some hot cocoa. And now I'm cravings chocolate covered pretzels, haha. But really, anything is amazing when mixed with pretzel.
