It’s been a long time since I’ve joined WIAW. Since school was starting up, I was so busy and my number one choice was something healthy but quick. I didn’t always have time to take pictures, but did manage to tweet a few to my Twitter account. :)
I stayed home from school today because I’ve had a headache since Monday. Please keep in mind that some days I eat more, some days I eat less. I listen to my body and give it what it needs. I don’t eat the same thing everyday. This is just what I ate today, Wednesday August 22nd.
Breakfast – 9:45 am
I didn’t sleep well but ended staying in bed for a while. After talking to my mom and cuddling with Eva for a bit, I had breakfast.
I had two pieces of protein bread from Aldi, toasted and topped with butter, crunchy PB and honey. On the side I had a big Pink Lady apple, a bowl of yogurt with honey and frozen blueberries.
Snack #1 – 12:10 pm
My breakfast did a really good job of holding me over for a while.
Before making lunch I had an orange juice popsicle. I know it’s not much, but I honestly wasn’t really that hungry. I just wanted something cold.. so something cold it was. :)
Lunch – 1:10 pm
I decided to make lunch for my mom and brothers today. My dad was at work so he’ll probably have some tonight.
I made whole grain spaghetti, chicken strips and peas. I topped it all off with tomato sauce and cheese. (I know it looks like there's no pasta.. I promise you there is!)
Snack #2 – 3:30 pm
As an afternoon snack I had a bowl of yogurt with honey and Lizi’s Granola (Pink Apple & Cinnamon flavor), plus a small bowl of walnuts and cashews. I also had two vitamins. The granola is awesome.. my mom loves it too!
Dinner – 7 pm
After spending almost my whole afternoon working on some blog stuff, I got hungry and made some dinner.
Dinner today was a sandwich (two pieces of protein bread from Aldi, butter, one hardboiled egg, cheese and deli meat) and a side of a sliced banana with cinnamon and PB.
Dessert / Night Time Snack – 7:30 pm
I always have to have some sort of sweet treat after dinner.
I had some dark chocolate, white chocolate and milk chocolate. It might now look like much, but it did a great job of calming my sweet tooth.
I drank a lot of water and iced tea today. Looking back on my eats.. I’m pretty happy with them. I listened to my body and feel great!
